Laura Jeffrey B.Sc Physio

Chartered and State registered physiotherapist with a Master of Science degree in physiotherapy of science in sport and exercise.

Laura has a wealth of experience working in the NHS, private practise, with professional sports teams and extensive travel with Great Britain national squads.

Laura provides massage, manipulation, accupuncture, rehabilitation, full physical screening, and electrotherapy. Her special interests include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Another keen area of interest is occupational rehabilitation, aimed at preventing poor posture and repetitive strain injuries in the workplace.

Laura offers the client the cutting edge of today's clinical care. Laura's invaluable experience and knowledge together with her friendly personality ensures a successful top class physiotherapy service.

Katharine Elliott B.Sc Physio

Katharine graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006. Since then, she has worked for a dance company in London's West End and also worked in the NHS for 3 years. Katharine's clinical interests include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions including Women's health and Sports Injuries. Originally from London, Katharine moved to Bristol a year ago and now works at the Midsomer Norton, Keynsham and Frenchay clinics. Her hobbies include dance, horse riding and golf'.

I am qualified as an Advanced sports therapist, and joined the clinic team in December 2004. I have always been involved with sport and fitness and used to run a gym in Bristol. I enjoy working and meeting new people and helping them to reach their goals. During my spare time I like to keep fit by playing rugby for Keynsham.

Claire Heley B.Sc Physio

I graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2006. Since then have worked for several different NHS Trusts and has also taught Pilates as a Physiotherapist privately. My special interests include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Another area of interest is in the rehabilitation of balance disorders. I have recently returned to live in Bristol after spending over a year in London working at a large teaching trust. I  will be working in the Bath, Midsomer Norton,Keynsham and Frenchay& Downend clinics. My hobbies include running,netball and swimming.

 

 

Sam Wright B.Sc Physio

I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy.

Since graduating I have worked in a range of settings including working in Nepal in a Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre and working with sports teams in London. I moved to Bristol to begin working with Hands on Health Treatments and have also started working with Bristol Rugby FC. My clinical interests focus on musculoskeletal conditions with an emphasis on sports injuries.

In my spare time I like to keep fit by mountain biking and weight lifting.

 

Karen Champion MFHT

 Karen is a qualified holistic therapist with an ITEC diploma in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, massage and Indian head massage. Karen also qualified in sports massage in2007 and FA treatment and management of sport injuries in 2009.

Whilst qualifying for the above she gained experience by carrying out voluntary work at Bristol Rugby club, treating first team players. Karen likes to keep fit and has run the Bristol half marathon  several times and the bath half marathon once

 

 

Anna Pearson

Pilates Instuctor

Anna trained as a Pilates teacher with The Body Control Pilates Association in 2004 and went on to work for four years at The Pure Pilates Studio in Devon with Body Control Pilates educator Louise Banfield.  Now living in Bristol, Anna teaches at a number of different venues including Hands-on Health Treatments in Keynsham. She is available to teach both classes and one to ones.

Anna enjoys helping people to experience the benefits of Pilates, to move better, feel less pain and generally feel happier in their own body. Anna's desire to teach stems from her own experience of overcoming a number of aches and pains.

Anna frequently attends workshops and seminars to stay updated with the latest developements in the field and is currently working towards her studio certification with Polestar Pilates.  Anna is also qualified to teach pre and post natal Pilates.

Sue Webb

I have been teaching exercise classes since 1992 and am a qualified instructor in both Keep-fit and Pilates. I joined the team at the clinic in November 2006 and am offering small classes (max of six people) or personal one-to-one sessions. The individual sessions provide a personal exercise programme to meet your needs whether it is for a recovering back problem or to improve your general body condition.

Julliet Piercy

 Juliet has been working in the fitness industry since 2003 when she qualified as an Exercise to Music Instructor. This was a change of career for Juliet after having 2 children. She had always had a passion for health and fitness and wanted to learn how to instruct others to bring the same benefits she experienced from regular exercise.

Juliet continued training and attending workshops to gain as much knowledge as possible to bring to her community exercise classes. In 2006 she broadened her career and gained an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health Related Exercise for Children and took fitness into schools. In 2008 she began training to become a Pilates Instructor, in January 2009 she qualified as a Fitness Pilates Instructor and in August 2009 gained an NVQ Level 3 in Pilates. Since this time she has been teaching community Pilates classes which she thoroughly enjoys as it brings so much benefit to her clients. She began working at Hands-On Health Treatments in December 2011 and looks forward to meeting new clients to help them with their individual Pilates needs.
