Sam Wright B.Sc Physio

Sam qualified as a physiotherapist in 2009 from Leeds Metropolitan University.  After qualifying he has gained experience in a variety of areas, initially moving to Nepal to work at a dedicated spinal injuries rehabilitation unit, then working with Bristol Rugby club before moving into the private healthcare sector.  His main clinical interest is in sports injuries.

In his spare time Sam likes to keep fit by playing rugby, and has completed Tough Mudder events as well as raising money for charity by cycling the length of the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

 

Katharine Elliott B.Sc Physio

Katharine graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006.  Since then she has worked for a dance company in London's West End and also worked in the NHS for 3 years.  Katharine's clinical interests include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions including Womens Health and Sports Injuries.  Originally from London, Katharine moved to Bristol a year ago and now works at the Bath and Keynsham clinics. Her hobbies include dance, horse riding and golf.
 

 William Eke BSc

Will qualified as an Advanced sports therapist, and joined the clinic team in December 2004. He has always been involved with sport and fitness and used to run a gym in Bristol. Will enjosy working and meeting new people and helping them to reach their goals. During his spare time he likes to keep fit by playing rugby for Keynsham.

 

Richard Smith B.Sc Physio

Richard gratuated from the University of Birmingham in 2004.  Since qualifying he has worked in hospitals in Birmingham where he managed the Hydrotherapy service, alongside treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.  Richard has also worked in Sydney, Australia and has undertook study in running and cycling biomechanics, which has become an area of particular interest.  He is also completing a masters degree in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy.  Richard is a keen cyclist and triathlete and also enjoys surfing.

 

Malcolm Pascoe B.Sc Physio

Malcolm graduated with a 1st class honours from Coventry University in 2014.  Since qualifying he has worked in private practice settings across Bath and Bristol, as well as undertaking continued professional development courses.  During the summer of 2014, Malcolm became sports physiotherapist for the England Indoor Netball team, providing pitch-side therapy for both England and opposing teams.  Malcolm specialises in musculoskeletal and sports management as well as orthopaedic rehabilitation, injury prevention and bicycle fitting services.  Malcolm is a keen cyclist, runner, rock climber and skier.

 

Richart Witts, Massage Therapist, BSc 

 

BA (Hons) in Human Movement Studies, Diploma in Sports Massage, Certificate for Soft Tissue Release

Richard specialises in Anatomy and Physiology and Exercise Physiology and was awarded the national honour of Sports Physiology Dissertation of the Year for his research in his final year at University. He provides massage at events such as the London Marathon, Triathlons and 7s and the City at Saracens RFC and Cycle Sportive. At these events, his clients have ranged from enthusiastic amateurs to elite athletes.

 

Karen Champion MFHT

 

Karen is a qualified holistic therapist with an ITEC diploma in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, massage and Indian head massage. Karen also qualified in sports massage in 2007 and FA treatment and management of sport injuries in 2009.

Whilst qualifying for the above she gained experience by carrying out voluntary work at Bristol Rugby club, treating first team players. Karen likes to keep fit and has run the Bristol half marathon several times and the Bath half marathon once.

  

Gemma Hitchens

 

Pilates Teacher  

Gemma is a qualified Stott Pilates Matwork instructor.  She has been teaching individuals and classes for the past year and is passionate about helping people and making a difference in their wellbeing for the better!  Health and fitness has always been her passion and her background is in personal training.  Gemma regularly undertake fitness challenges in her free time, particularly long distance cycles and mountain hiking.  Gemma is also taking her qualifications to become a Stott Pilates Reformer instructor in the very near future.

Gemma enjoys pilates as it's a complete body workout with huge benefits that assist people immensely in todays office based work culture and results are quickly visible after a short number of sessions, proving it really does work!
